Robbie is an Australian Raven (commonly called Crows) who came into care recently. He was painfully thin and not at all well. He had been kept for a couple of days and given dog food without it being recognised that he was not old enough to feed himself. He started having seizures in the early hours of the morning at which time he was wrapped in a towel to prevent him from harming himself. The wattage in the heat lamp was increased and an excellent product called Nutrigel was added to his diet. The seizures stopped and he is now doing well. While it is truly wonderful that members of the community are compassionate and care enough to pick up sick, injured or orphaned wildlife it is so important that advice on their well-being is sought immediately.
